Lifeguard

Responsibilities

• Guard the swim area and watch for safety concerns
• Enforce rules and respond when help is needed
• Set up and clean up the waterfront each day
• Lead camp activities when the swimming hole is closed
• Assist with camp-wide programs, events, and weekly changeover tasks
• Keep equipment clean, organized, and ready to use

Requirements

• 18 or older
• Strong swimmer with comfort in moving, natural bodies of water
• Lifeguard certified or ability to get certified
• Comfortable enforcing rules in a kind, clear way
• Ability to stay calm and focused in emergency situations
• Dependable and hardworking team player
