Life Safety Compliance Technician

Responsibilities

• Manage Life Safety Compliance document submissions for State and Federal regulatory obligations
• Track and maintain compliance documentation from Engineering, Property Managers, Landlords, and Vendors
• Manage the Elements of Performance reporting cycle (daily, monthly, quarterly)
• Lead fire protection and life-safety-related surveys across various buildings including ambulatory surgery centers and medical office buildings
• Prepare detailed technical reports based on survey findings with actionable insights
• Partner with Facilities leadership to maintain electronic Statement of Conditions/Basic Building Information (BBI)
• Support regulatory building inspections and assist in drafting corrective action plans

Requirements

• Four-year degree in public health, healthcare administration, engineering, safety management, or related field
• 3+ years of related experience
• Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and SharePoint
• Ability to understand and interpret Building Maintenance and Life Safety/Building Codes
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel up to 20%
• Ability to conduct site inspections including climbing ladders and accessing mechanical rooms

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health or healthcare administration
• Experience with building maintenance software (CMS)
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
