Life Enrichment Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead person-centered programs to enhance emotional, social, and recreational well-being
• Facilitate therapeutic activities for residents at all stages of memory loss
• Create a stimulating environment that respects diverse cultural backgrounds
• Provide one-on-one engagement for residents unable to participate in groups
• Support psychosocial needs and provide emotional support to residents and families
• Complete required documentation including care plans and activity notes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and mentor student interns

Requirements

• Two years of experience working with older adults in group or long-term care settings
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and stoop for extended periods
• Ability to safely transport residents in wheelchairs

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy, psychology, social work, healthcare, or recreation administration
