About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of seven senior engineering procurement associates at the Querétaro plant
- Identify and direct sourcing projects, cost-saving initiatives, and change management processes
- Act as the key procurement counterpart for plant and business unit management during new customer projects
- Collaborate with Procurement and Material Quality departments to select optimal suppliers
- Qualify parts for mass production in cooperation with supplier quality management
- Review technical specifications and particular characteristics alongside engineering and quality teams
- Monitor market trends and competition to implement advanced technologies in projects and processes
- Train and develop team members while sharing technical knowledge
Requirements
- Expertise in Supplier Quality Management (SQM)
- Proficiency with APQP and CORE tools
- Strong project management and resource planning skills
- Experience in engineering change management
- Advanced English proficiency (TOEFL 7 or higher)
- Proven experience in team leadership and coaching
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, casting, forging, or fasteners)
