Licensed Vocational Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Coordinator
• Apply clinical nursing knowledge and skills to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families
• Identify priorities and make judgments concerning the basic needs of multiple patients to organize care
• Perform duties associated with the assigned LVN level (I, II, or III)

Requirements

• Graduate from an approved vocational nursing program
• Current and valid Texas LVN license
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• 6+ months of clinical experience or successful completion of a KSC LVN Residency program
• Proficiency with computers and ability to use medical equipment and supplies

Preferred Qualifications

• For LVN II: 4+ years of experience in a clinical area
• For LVN III: 9+ years of experience in a clinical area
