Licensed Vocational Nurse

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or relatives to obtain health history and immunization status
• Perform TB testing and injections
• Prepare, administer, and record immunizations and drugs per agency policy
• Take vital signs and measurements including height and weight
• Supervise client medication administration and ensure compliance with physician orders
• Audit and monitor client charts and Medication Administration Record (MAR) in EMR system
• Conduct regular medication counts to verify accuracy
• Communicate medication changes with physicians and pharmacies
• Perform light housekeeping tasks in detox houses to maintain a safe environment
• Observe and monitor client behavior and provide 1:1 supervision for at-risk clients
• Maintain staff shift logs and documentation

Requirements

• Licensed to practice as a vocational nurse in the state
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Clean background check

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience with substance abuse, mental health, or dual diagnosis populations
• Familiarity and understanding with 12 step facilitation
