Responsibilities

• Assist Physician, RN, and treatment team in delivering comprehensive patient care
• Administer medications prescribed by physicians
• Provide care to patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders
• Support an environment that fosters healing, growth, and long-term wellness

Requirements

• Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psych Tech (LPT) license
• Current BLS for healthcare provider card
• High School graduation or equivalent
• Knowledge of detoxification assessment and treatment procedures
• Familiarity with the disease concept of addiction treatment
• Knowledge of 12-step treatment and cognitive aspects of addictive disease treatment
• Ability to identify signs of withdrawal from major classes of abused substances
• Ability to obtain Therapeutic Options Training (TOT) prior to providing direct patient care without a preceptor
