Licensed Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform triage of incoming patients and provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases
• Execute animal restraint techniques using safe and low-stress methods
• Collect and analyze laboratory samples, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens
• Conduct diagnostic imaging, including radiographic positioning and image capture
• Manage anesthesia administration and provide continuous surgical monitoring
• Assist with surgical preparation and procedures
• Administer medications and maintain accurate medical records
• Communicate treatment plans effectively with clients

Requirements

• Active Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license
• Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency environment
• Availability to work weekends
• Proficiency in anesthesia, surgical assistance, and diagnostic imaging
• Strong client communication and medical record management skills
• Ability to withstand unpleasant odors, noises, and exposure to animal-related hazards

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional veterinary experience
