Licensed Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding care instructions and status updates
• Perform technical duties including lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing
• Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines

Requirements

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification in New York
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
• Knowledge of common disease states and patient condition monitoring
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines
