Licensed Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and faculty with clinical care in shelter medicine, emergency, critical care, and surgical service programs
• Provide technical support for small animal patients, including routine tasks and patient handling
• Support clinical teaching activities by working with faculty and veterinary students during rotations and laboratories
• Assist with the operation of wellness clinics, Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and other outreach programs
• Maintain organized clinical and laboratory spaces and assist with basic recordkeeping

Requirements

• CVT/LVT/RVT credentials with a current license
• Successful completion of a Veterinary Technician program
• Extensive veterinary experience and familiarity with the medical profession
• Strong small animal handling and technical skills
• Ability to work as a team player and solve problems in real-time

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching or working with students in a clinical setting
