About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care and support to patients and owners
- Perform exam room duties including obtaining accurate histories, vitals, and client education
- Execute dental procedures including charting, scaling, polishing, and dental radiology
- Manage anesthesia monitoring and surgical support, including intubation and aseptic technique
- Perform clinical tasks such as IV catheter placement, venipuncture, and applying bandages or splints
- Conduct laboratory work including in-house equipment operation and cytology set-up
- Assist with diagnostics such as digital radiology and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
Requirements
- LVT license in Nevada, or eligibility to acquire one within 3 months of hire
- 2+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a technician or assistant
- Proficiency in animal handling, restraint, and understanding of animal behavior
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program
