About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality medical care and support to patients and owners
  • Perform exam room duties including obtaining accurate histories, vitals, and client education
  • Execute dental procedures including charting, scaling, polishing, and dental radiology
  • Manage anesthesia monitoring and surgical support, including intubation and aseptic technique
  • Perform clinical tasks such as IV catheter placement, venipuncture, and applying bandages or splints
  • Conduct laboratory work including in-house equipment operation and cytology set-up
  • Assist with diagnostics such as digital radiology and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis

Requirements

  • LVT license in Nevada, or eligibility to acquire one within 3 months of hire
  • 2+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a technician or assistant
  • Proficiency in animal handling, restraint, and understanding of animal behavior
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program
