Licensed Technician Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Monitor the full reconditioning pipeline to ensure vehicles progress smoothly and targets are met
• Perform inspections, repairs, and diagnostics as a working lead
• Conduct Ontario Provincial Safety Inspections in accordance with all standards
• Identify bottlenecks in real time and reallocate resources to maintain throughput
• Audit vehicles at key stages to ensure they meet quality standards
• Provide real-time coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance to team members
• Drive continuous improvement through standardized work and process optimization
• Track and report KPIs such as throughput, cycle time, and repair quality
• Maintain accurate documentation for inspections and repairs using shop systems
• Enforce PPE compliance and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Requirements

• 310S Red Seal or equivalent certification
• Experience with domestic, import, and European vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• 1+ years of leadership experience
• 3+ years in high-volume, fast-paced environments
• Experience with Lean principles (5S, Kanban, or Six Sigma)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week + overtime)
• Comfortable working in a shop environment
