Licensed Psychologist

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality individual and group counseling services to students as mandated by IESP/IEP
• Address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and autism
• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to inform treatment planning
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to developmental and cultural needs
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, school administrators, and mental health professionals
• Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with DOE regulations and HIPAA requirements
• Participate in IESP/IEP meetings to offer expert psychological insights

Requirements

• NYS license as a Licensed Psychologist
• Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with children and adolescents
• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and teletherapy platforms
• NYC DOE fingerprinting and vendor status (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a school-based setting or educational environment
• Specialized training in child and adolescent therapy modalities (CBT, DBT, play therapy, family therapy)
• Experience with psychological assessments and testing
