Licensed Practical Nurse

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor residents using a holistic model including physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs
• Contribute to the development and modification of individualized care plans and participate in care conferences
• Perform nursing care and procedures within the LPN Standards of Practice scope
• Administer medications, including liquid narcotics and subcutaneous or intramuscular injections, according to policy
• Document all pertinent clinical information, observations, and nursing procedures on resident charts
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and resident placement
• Provide personal care and assistance with meals to residents

Requirements

• Graduation from a recognized Licensed Practical Nurse program
• Full scope practice status
• One year of recent related nursing experience
• Current BCCNM licensure in good standing
• Current CPR certificate
• Completion of moderate to high-risk violence prevention training modules
• Ability to communicate effectively and organize work in a clinical setting
