About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing services and interventions to residents with stable and predictable health status
- Assist in the planning, assessment, implementation, and evaluation of holistic resident care
- Coordinate health services and support activities of daily living, including medication administration
- Collaborate with RNs and supervisors when resident conditions change or fall outside the LPN scope of practice
- Provide safety and health information to individuals and their families
- Participate in safety programs and follow OH&S directives regarding infection control and transfers
- Assist in the orientation of new employees
Requirements
- Graduation from a recognized Licensed Practical Nurse program
- Current full practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of B.C. (CPLBC)
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
- Computer literacy and ability to utilize various software applications
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
- Ability to undergo applicable background and screening checks
