Licensed Practical Nurse

Responsibilities

• Support primary care providers by rooming patients, obtaining patient histories, and collecting vital signs
• Coordinate patient care through phone calls, appointment changes, and referral assistance
• Administer medications and injections in accordance with proper orders
• Document all clinical interactions accurately within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Assist providers with women’s pelvic exams and minor surgical procedures (e.g., sutures, I&D)
• Perform laboratory duties including phlebotomy, specimen handling, and CLIA waived testing
• Manage laboratory inventory, stock supplies, and perform control testing
• Ensure autoclave and sterilization procedures are strictly followed

Requirements

• Valid LPN license to practice in the state of New York
• 3+ years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Current CPR certification
• Effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in an ambulatory care setting
