Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess, communicate, and document resident status
• Observe and report significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, and family
• Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants
• Mentor and guide Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their roles
• Coordinate care needs with community providers through effective case management
• Balance service demands with the support of resident independence
• Assist in the prevention and reporting of elder abuse, neglect, or exploitation
• Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response systems

Requirements

• Current state license as an LPN and valid CPR certification
• Graduate of an approved LPN program per state requirements
• 1 to 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer capacity is highly desirable
