Licensed Practical Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under physician or RN supervision
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and treatment responses
• Assist with pre-, intra-, and post-operative care and patient education
• Start, maintain, and discontinue IVs
• Administer medications and maintain accurate records
• Perform diagnostic tasks including glucose testing, EKG, and blood draws
• Manage patient flow and clinical documentation accuracy
• Maintain controlled substances and infection control protocols
• Oversee emergency equipment readiness and participate in drills
• Operate clinical and surgical equipment
• Assist with specimen collection and processing

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program
• Active LPN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency in patient assessment and perioperative care
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing (ADN or BSN)
• Prior nursing experience in surgical, perioperative, Med/Surg, or critical care settings
