About the role
Responsibilities
- Follow individual service plans and administer or supervise prescribed treatments
- Perform rounds with residents and physicians and record visits on charts
- Administer intramuscular and sub-cutaneous injections and perform in-house testing
- Take and record vital signs and document acute episodes or changes in resident status
- Handle preparation, administration, and ordering of prescribed medications
- Complete admission assessments, discharge documentation, and incident reports
- Supervise residents self-administering medication and assist with activities of daily living
- Provide emotional and social support to residents while maintaining dignity and confidentiality
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to community policies and procedures
Requirements
- Washington LVN (LPN) or RN license
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of general nursing theory, practice, and infection control
- Familiarity with medical diagnoses, procedures, and medication side effects
- Ability to lift at least 51 lbs on a regular basis
- Proficient in operating computer-related tasks and software applications
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
