Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered professional nurse
• Identify and communicate patient and family problems to appropriate members of the healthcare team
• Arrange and prepare patients and families for medical procedures using established protocols
• Maintain accurate patient information and records in accordance with hospital policies
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to maintain care standards across outpatient settings
• Act as a resource person for nursing staff on related clinical subjects

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited body
• Current Illinois LPN License
• Graduate from a State-Approved course of study
• Successful completion of a pharmacology course
• Active BLS Certification
• Experience working in a community health setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC, OASIS, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Proficiency in computerized appointment scheduling
• Strong verbal communication and organizational skills
• Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Ability to perform physical tasks including stocking, lifting, and transporting supplies
