Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility through medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing
• Manage informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion processes
• Evaluate and manage donor adverse reactions according to established SOPs
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings in coordination with the Center Physician
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees
• Manage employee incidents and follow environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidance

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program
• Current LPN or LVN license/certification in the state of assignment
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
• Basic IV therapy certification per state requirements
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience
• Ability to complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists
