About the role
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents in compliance with Federal and State regulations and company guidelines
- Manage admissions for new residents, including all necessary assessments and documentation
- Complete acute and long-term care plans or service plans
- Monitor clinical systems, such as wound care or infection control, under the direction of the director
- Notify physicians and family members of any changes in resident health status
- Respond quickly to medical emergencies and maintain close communication with all staff members
- Maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to all safety and disaster plans
- Provide educational meetings for residents and staff as needed
Requirements
- Training from an accredited licensed or vocational nursing program
- Current LPN License in the state of practice
- Valid CPR Certification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in senior care or a related field
