Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician
• Administer medications, monitor effects, and record vital signs
• Assist patients with daily living activities and provide therapeutic interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate high-quality patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care
• Respond to emergent situations and initiate necessary protocols to prevent harm
• Advocate for patient rights and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations

Requirements

• LPN licensure by the West Virginia State Board of Examiners
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in direct patient care
• BLS Certification from AHA, Red Cross, or ASHI
• Experience working with both pediatric and adult patients
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and 12-hour shifts
