Licensed Practical Nurse

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance of MAs/CNAs in their duties
• Administer patient medications and record into administration records
• Monitor vital signs and change wound dressings
• Perform medical assessments of patients
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare personnel
• Administer vaccinations and enter data into multiple systems
• Manage medical emergencies
• Complete required organizational compliance and regulatory education

Requirements

• Current, full, and unrestricted LPN/LVN license in the state of Florida
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE)
• Minimum one year of professional experience as a licensed LVN/LPN
• Basic Life Support certification
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to respond to disaster within 24 hours and establish care within 72 hours
• Ability to work onsite in austere environments and handle physical demands including lifting up to 30 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• Experience with special needs populations
• Knowledge of nursing operations in austere environments
