Licensed Practical Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide and assist in direct patient care under the supervision of an RN, APP, or physician
• Manage patient assignments and document vital signs, responses to treatment, and nursing care
• Report abnormal changes in patient health or mental status to providers
• Administer medications, injections, and maintain nasogastric tube feeds
• Perform wound care and collect/process patient specimens
• Assist with patient examinations, positioning, and crisis management
• Participate in daily controlled substance counts and multidisciplinary treatment planning

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Active LPN license in the state of practice
• BLS certification
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Age requirements for Colorado Residential Child Care facility (21+ or 18+ with supervision)

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in the mental health field
• IV skills or certification
• Experience with nasogastric tubes
