Licensed Optician

Responsibilities

• Serve as a brand ambassador by delivering the Sunglass Hut Experience to all customers
• Fill ophthalmic sunglass prescriptions and provide expert lens and frame fittings
• Take and record precise measurements and accurately adjust eyewear to meet customer needs
• Act as an on-the-floor leader in optical acumen, assisting the team with complex prescriptions
• Utilize technology, including POS systems and tablets, to manage transactions and customer needs
• Maintain store appearance by keeping the environment clean, attractive, and organized
• Adhere to all company policies regarding inventory management, promotions, and store operations

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Valid State Licensure in Opticianry
• Proven experience in optical dispensing
• Strong customer service, communication, and listening skills
• Proficiency with basic math and familiarity with POS systems, computers, and tablets
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced retail environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail customer service environment
