Licensed Optician

Responsibilities

• Drive profitable store sales by fostering a retail selling culture and utilizing effective sales skills
• Fill ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions and fit/adapt lenses and frames to meet customer visual requirements
• Conduct precise optical measurements including bridge, eye size, temple length, vertex distance, and pupillary distance
• Recommend specific lenses, coatings, and frames based on customer lifestyle and vision needs
• Troubleshoot vision issues to ensure customer satisfaction and resolution
• Maintain store merchandising standards according to company planograms
• Ensure high quality through accurate measurements, correct pricing, and precise POS entry

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid state licensure or certification as an optician from a nationally-recognized association
• Proven experience in a retail or customer service environment
• Strong sales skills and accountability for achieving results
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage priorities
• Strong communication skills to foster relationships with customers, associates, and doctors

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in retail operations
• 3+ years of professional experience
• Proficiency with personal computers
