Licensed Optician

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and set clear expectations for their visit
• Custom fit eyewear and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
• Take and record accurate measurements for optical dispensing
• Adjust and fit eyewear with high attention to detail to ensure customer satisfaction
• Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions
• Utilize technology and POS systems accurately under time pressure
• Maintain store appearance by keeping the environment clean, attractive, and organized
• Adhere to all company policies, including inventory management and safety practices

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Valid State Licensure as an Optician
• Proven experience in optical dispensing
• Strong customer service, communication, and listening skills
• Basic math skills and familiarity with computers and POS systems
• Ability to use and carry an iPad or tablet for sales

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail environment
• Strong awareness of current fashion trends
