Licensed Optician

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and set clear expectations for their vision care experience
• Custom fit eyewear and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
• Take and record accurate measurements to ensure high-quality optical results
• Adjust and fit eyewear with meticulous attention to detail
• Assist the team with complex product needs and technical prescriptions
• Utilize POS systems, tablets, and other optical technology accurately
• Maintain store appearance and adhere to safety and inventory management policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid provincial/state optician licensure
• Proven experience in optical dispensing
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service, communication, and listening skills
• Proficiency with POS systems, computers, and tablet devices (iPad)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail environment
• Strong knowledge of current fashion trends and eyewear merchandise
