Licensed Optician

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide legendary customer service to meet their vision needs
• Custom fit eyewear and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
• Take and record accurate measurements and adjust eyewear for correct fit
• Explore customer needs through open-ended questions and identify special requirements
• Demonstrate superior product knowledge regarding lens features and frame benefits
• Utilize store technology, including POS systems and tablets, to manage transactions and customer data
• Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive store appearance
• Achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Valid Provincial/State Licensure as an Optician
• Proven experience in optical dispensing
• Strong customer service, communication, and listening skills
• Basic math skills and familiarity with calculators
• Proficiency with technology, including POS systems and tablets/iPads

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail environment
• Strong awareness of current fashion trends
