Licensed Optician

Responsibilities

• Achieve a world class Total Patient Experience to build relationships and deliver medical support
• Determine patient needs and offer products to exceed expectations
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, and facial measurements
• Operate optical equipment including manual/auto-lensometers, autorefractor, retinal camera, and OCT
• Educate patients on specific lenses, coatings, and frames
• Accurately collect measurements such as pupillary distance, seg heights, and vertex distance
• Maintain frame standards through cleaning and organization

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• ABO Certification
• NCLE Certification
• Minimum of 1 year in a customer or patient-facing role
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and state/federal regulations
• Ability to travel to other site locations if necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous optometric or medical office experience
• Associate's Degree
