Licensed Optician

Responsibilities

• Provide unsurpassed patient experiences through eyewear selection, accurate measurements, and precise fitting
• Custom fit glasses and ensure prescription lenses are placed accurately
• Take and record detailed measurements and adjust eyewear to meet patient requirements
• Explore patient needs using open-ended questions to provide tailored solutions
• Operate point-of-sale systems with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Collaborate daily with doctors and practice staff to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive dispensary environment
• Achieve individual and team goals while adhering to company policies and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active state optical licensure (must maintain licensure)
• Strong customer service, communication, and listening skills
• Proficiency in basic mathematics
• Proven sales skills
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Experience with patient record systems and other optical software applications
