Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) - Surgical Specialties

Responsibilities

• Perform activities of daily living and personal care needs under the guidance of a Registered Nurse
• Execute technical skills and procedures relating to the physical, mental, and social needs of patients
• Document care provided and report observations regarding patient status and basic data to the RN
• Maintain patient care areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adequate supplies of materials and equipment
• Adhere to safe patient handling policies and the five rights of delegation
• Demonstrate strong time management skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Serve as a preceptor for new employees as needed

Requirements

• Current New Hampshire State LNA license
• LNA Education Certificate and final report of written and clinical competency testing results
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (or equivalent)
• Ability to work a part-time schedule consisting of two 12-hour shifts per week
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds
