About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform various patient care activities and nonprofessional services to meet the personal needs and comfort of acutely ill and premature infants
- Assist nursing service personnel with patient care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Perform activities of daily living (ADLs), obtain clinical data (vital signs, heights, weights), and collect specimens
- Utilize universal precautions and perform point of care testing, recording all results in medical records
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by keeping hallways clear and managing linen disposal
- Assist visitors and answer telephones as needed
- Support the medication management process by following policies for the storage, handling, and disposal of medications
Requirements
- High school graduate
- Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) license in the State of New Hampshire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
- Demonstrated keyboarding skills and familiarity with computer use
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous hospital experience
