Licensed Nursing Assistant, LNA - Intensive Care Nursery, NICU

Responsibilities

• Perform various patient care activities and nonprofessional services to meet the personal needs and comfort of acutely ill and premature infants
• Assist nursing service personnel with patient care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Perform activities of daily living (ADLs), obtain clinical data (vital signs, heights, weights), and collect specimens
• Utilize universal precautions and perform point of care testing, recording all results in medical records
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by keeping hallways clear and managing linen disposal
• Assist visitors and answer telephones as needed
• Support the medication management process by following policies for the storage, handling, and disposal of medications

Requirements

• High school graduate
• Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) license in the State of New Hampshire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
• Demonstrated keyboarding skills and familiarity with computer use

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous hospital experience
