Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) - Behavioral Health

Responsibilities

• Perform activities of daily living and personal care needs under the guidance and supervision of the Registered Nurse
• Execute technical skills and procedures relating to the physical, mental health, and social needs of patients
• Document care provided and report observations regarding patient physical, social, and mental status to the RN
• Maintain patient care areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adequate supplies of materials and equipment
• Adhere to safe patient handling policies and the five rights of delegation
• Demonstrate strong time management skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Serve as a preceptor for new employees as required

Requirements

• Current New Hampshire State LNA license
• Proof of LNA Education Certificate
• Final report of Written and Clinical Competency Testing Results as required by the NH Board of Nursing
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification or equivalent
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds
