About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
  • Support resident mobility by assisting with transfers between beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment
  • Document care provided and resident behavior/responses accurately in medical records
  • Report changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional conditions to supervising nursing staff
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in resident rooms and common areas
  • Follow infection control protocols and established safety procedures
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents

Requirements

  • Valid New Hampshire Nursing Assistant (LNA) license
  • High school diploma or equivalent credential
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Physical stamina for prolonged standing and the ability to lift, transfer, and transport residents and materials
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed to meet facility requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a long-term care or geriatric care setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • CPR and First Aid certification
