About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- Support resident mobility by assisting with transfers between beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment
- Document care provided and resident behavior/responses accurately in medical records
- Report changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional conditions to supervising nursing staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in resident rooms and common areas
- Follow infection control protocols and established safety procedures
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
Requirements
- Valid New Hampshire Nursing Assistant (LNA) license
- High school diploma or equivalent credential
- Valid Driver's license
- Physical stamina for prolonged standing and the ability to lift, transfer, and transport residents and materials
- Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed to meet facility requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a long-term care or geriatric care setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- CPR and First Aid certification
