About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
  • Support resident mobility by assisting with transfers between beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment
  • Document care provided and monitor resident behavior or physical changes, reporting findings to nursing staff
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in resident rooms and common areas
  • Follow established infection control protocols and safety procedures
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents

Requirements

  • NH Nursing Assistant license
  • High school diploma or equivalent credential
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Physical stamina for prolonged standing and tasks such as lifting, transferring, and transporting residents
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours to meet facility needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a long-term care or geriatric care setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • CPR and First Aid certification
