Licensed Nursing Assistant Hospice

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and safe transfers
• Support household needs such as light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
• Use mechanical devices and proper body mechanics to ensure safe mobility assistance
• Observe and report changes in physical or mental condition, intake/output, and overall patient status
• Cue patients for medications as directed in the care plan
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment following aseptic and safety standards
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and the care team
• Complete timely and accurate documentation
• Travel within the agency’s service area to provide care

Requirements

• Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in good standing with the New Hampshire Board of Nursing
• CPR certification
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record
• Satisfactory background check
• High School diploma or better

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in home care or hospice/end-of-life care
• Experience caring for patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, COPD, cancer, or post-surgical needs
• Ability to perform PT/INR checks
• Some college education
