About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide behavioral health interventions, clinical counseling, and case management services to Special Operations Forces and their families through the POTFF program.
  • Conduct screenings, clinical counseling, and prevention programming.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for behavioral health services for active-duty personnel, retired military members, and their families.
  • Deliver a spectrum of interventions including individual, family, group, and couples psychotherapy, as well as alcohol and drug treatment evaluations.
  • Develop and implement programs designed to foster healthy relationships and unit connectedness.
  • Maintain harmonious working relationships within the unit, the POTFF program, and other DoD agencies.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in behavioral sciences.
  • Current state license for independent practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top-Secret security clearance.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • For LPCs: Must have passed the NCMHCE and possess two years of post-graduate experience in various counseling modalities.
  • For LMFTs: Must meet COAMFTE accreditation standards or equivalent AAMFT standards.
