Licensed Master Social Worker

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the student counseling program
• Facilitate conversations regarding student academic and behavioral progress
• Coordinate individualized behavior plans with staff and intervention specialists
• Participate in Child Study Team meetings and assist in writing IEP goals
• Manage student crisis situations and follow up with appropriate agencies
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and current individual student records
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding counseling and mandatory reporting
• Conduct home visits for PAVE families

Requirements

• New York State Certification
• Experience in an elementary school setting, preferably urban
• Strong communication skills for interacting with parents and students
• High level of professionalism and collaborative approach
