About the role
Responsibilities
- Test, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, install, and wire all electrical devices and circuits within the plant
- Dismantle, repair, and assess electrical motors
- Install cable, conduit, fittings, fixtures, and wiring for new or replacement facilities
- Work under the supervision of the Electric Shop Supervisor to maintain plant electrical systems
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman’s License
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in industrial electrical maintenance (mining industry experience preferred)
- Graduate of a vocational school with an emphasis on basic electricity and electronics, or military electrical training
- Minimum of four years of on-the-job training
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Physical ability to bend, kneel, walk, stand, climb stairs, and lift; requires high manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (no visa sponsorship available)
