About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral health care, including psychotherapy and assessments, to support the mental wellness of service members and their families.
- Conduct individual, family, group, and couple's therapy, as well as alcohol and drug treatment evaluations.
- Perform behavioral assessments and use evidence-based therapies for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological disorders.
- Maintain accurate medical records and produce reports of evaluations and treatments in electronic medical records.
- Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts as required.
- Perform case management functions and assess barriers to treatment adherence.
- Participate in military-specific training and quality improvement meetings.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Secret or Top Secret Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent degree from a CSWE-accredited graduate school.
- Current, unrestricted clinical license to independently practice social work in any US state, DC, Puerto Rico, or US Virgin Islands.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the independent practice of clinical social work in a mental health setting within the last five (5) years.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
- Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a Government setting, such as a DOD or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF.
- Experience in brief behavioral interventions.
