Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health care, including psychotherapy and assessments, to support the mental wellness of service members and their families.
• Conduct individual, family, group, and couple's therapy, as well as alcohol and drug treatment evaluations.
• Perform behavioral assessments and use evidence-based therapies for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological disorders.
• Maintain accurate medical records and produce reports of evaluations and treatments in electronic medical records.
• Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts as required.
• Perform case management functions and assess barriers to treatment adherence.
• Participate in military-specific training and quality improvement meetings.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Secret or Top Secret Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
• Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent degree from a CSWE-accredited graduate school.
• Current, unrestricted clinical license to independently practice social work in any US state, DC, Puerto Rico, or US Virgin Islands.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the independent practice of clinical social work in a mental health setting within the last five (5) years.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Government setting, such as a DOD or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF.
• Experience in brief behavioral interventions.
