About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral health care and clinical social work services to special operations service members and their families.
- Conduct behavioral assessments, interviewing, and evidence-based therapies for the evaluation and treatment of psychological disorders.
- Perform individual, family, group, and couple's psychotherapy, as well as alcohol and drug treatment evaluations.
- Maintain accurate medical records and produce detailed reports of evaluations and treatments.
- Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts.
- Manage case functions, including assessing treatment adherence and providing patient education regarding mental health conditions.
- Participate in military-specific training and quality improvement meetings.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent degree from a CSWE-accredited graduate school.
- Current, unrestricted clinical license to practice social work in any US state, DC, Puerto Rico, or US Virgin Islands.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the independent practice of clinical social work in a mental health setting within the last five years.
- Fluency in English (both oral and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior military or Special Operations Forces (SOF) experience.
- Experience working in a government setting, such as a Department of Defense (DOD) or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Treatment Facility.
- Experience with brief behavioral interventions.
