Library Technician II

Responsibilities

• Manage library acquisitions, electronic resources, and continuing resources within the Terrell Library.
• Process orders and renew new and existing continuing resources.
• Verify invoice payments and correspond with providers regarding adjustments.
• Troubleshoot electronic resource access problems and manage site license agreements.
• Maintain e-resources knowledge bases and access points in the library's discovery layer and catalog.
• Collect and provide e-resource usage reports to liaison librarians for analysis.
• Assist in developing and documenting workflows and best practices for the e-resources life cycle.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent library experience.
• 1-2 years of experience as a library technician.
• High degree of accuracy in data and administrative tasks.
• Proficiency in keyboarding, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong proofreading skills.
• Note: Candidates must pass keyboarding, Word, Excel, and proofreading tests to be considered for an interview.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with an integrated library system (ILS) or electronic resources management platform.
• Experience communicating directly with library vendors and publishers.
• Experience working with MARC bibliographic records.
• Ability to identify key information on domestic and international invoices.
