Library Staff

Responsibilities

• Support circulation duties including processing loans, returns, renewals, and fines
• Retrieve material from book drops and organize items in call number order
• Accurately shelve returned material and perform shelf-reading to ensure proper order
• Assist patrons at the InfoDesk with basic questions, material location, and library equipment
• Communicate circulation policies clearly and refer complex reference questions to senior staff
• Handle incoming phone calls and process payments for fines or book sales
• Maintain library order by dusting, cleaning surfaces, and ensuring printer supplies are stocked
• Assist with special projects such as data entry and the digitization of archives

Requirements

• Must be a Crown College student in good standing
• Evidence of Christian character and commitment to the Crown Community Covenant
• High attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
• Proficiency with basic computer applications, including email and word processing
• Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
