Library Specialist Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical processing and maintenance of documents received through the U.S. Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP).
• Supervise a Library Specialist II, a Library Associate, Graduate Assistants, and undergraduate student assistants.
• Coordinate the online check-in of paper and microfiche, including copy cataloging and database management.
• Assist with large-scale collection weeding initiatives and the Alma Library Services Platform migration project.
• Manage bibliographic and item data to ensure quality control and successful data migration.
• Consult with the Head of Government Documents and Microforms regarding FDLP and GPO policies and title supersession.
• Advise other Louisiana depository libraries on the processing of government documents.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in administrative services within a library setting.
• Knowledge of FDLP and GPO guidelines and instructions.
• Experience with the Alma Library Services Platform.
• Proven supervisory experience managing staff and student employees.
