Library Circulation Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and assist borrowers with library services
• Ensure accurate and efficient circulation of library resources
• Provide front line support at all Circulation service points
• Support Reserves, Interlibrary loan, Librarians, Special Collections, and Bread Loaf School of English
• Maintain accurate patron records and adhere to confidentiality policies
• Utilize Alma Circulation software for library tasks
• Assist with various library projects to support collections and the building

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain working relations with staff and students
• Ability to work independently and meet weekend requirements
• Basic functional knowledge of Alma Circulation software
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver book trucks
• Ability to stand, sit, squat, bend, and climb ladders frequently
