Library Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide front desk customer service and support for students, staff, and faculty at the Wilson Library and Academic Success Center.
• Perform unit operations including retrieving and returning books, labeling/packaging requested materials, and searching for missing items.
• Assist patrons with checking books and technical equipment in/out and scheduling room bookings.
• Maintain patron areas by refilling paper in printers and copiers and ensuring general neatness.
• Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, retrieving voicemails, and providing minor hardware and software support.

Requirements

• Must be a current University of La Verne student.
• Good verbal and written command of the English language.
• Proficiency using Google Docs and MS Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience.
• Strong organizational skills.
