Library and Information Specialist

Responsibilities

• Receive and resolve information inquiries using multi-format resources
• Implement content curation strategies, including bibliographies and guides, to add value for library users
• Plan, design, and deliver instructional activities to foster information literacy skills
• Coordinate the dissemination of information regarding new acquisitions and available bibliographic material
• Organize and promote instructional events and library services
• Establish and execute engagement strategies to link library services with academic departments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science (Licenciatura en Bibliotecología)
• Valid professional title and license (Título y cédula profesional)
• Proven experience in library reference services and/or user instruction
• Experience in teaching or academic instruction
• Strong service orientation and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with technology and excellent communication skills
