About the role

Responsibilities

Provide full reference desk and front-line service in all business subject areas, both in-person and via online consultations
Assist small business owners and entrepreneurs with market research, business plan development, competitive landscape assessment, and patent information discovery
Promote business resources and collections by creating discovery tools and resource guides
Develop, teach, and host classes for the public and staff using in-person and remote platforms like Google Meet and Zoom
Provide customer assistance throughout the business and finance research process
Participate in outreach through off-site community or library events
Assist with web page updates, Libguides, training materials, and social media promotion
Support center operations, including LibCal and opening/closing procedures

Requirements

Experience conducting business and finance research
Ability to provide one-on-one instruction and reference services
Proficiency with remote meeting platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet
Experience with LibGuides or similar library discovery tools
Ability to work with a diverse body of users including entrepreneurs, investors, and students
